Who may enter

The competition is open to artists anywhere in the world. There are no restrictions based on age, training or nationality.

Description

The competition is organised by international law firm Ashurst.

​The Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize 2018 will be awarded to artists that show significant potential, interesting ideas, a relevant message and skillful execution. We understand that talented artists exist in many forms, so endeavour to appeal to emerging artists of all ages and career paths, whether student, graduate, full-time or part-time, and from any country.

A maximum of 5 artworks per Artist may be entered into the competition. Paintings, drawings, original prints, photography, sculptures, digitally produced artworks and mixed media constructions are accepted. Video art, sound art and the moving image are not accepted in this competition.

Entry fee

Entry fee is £20 for first artwork, then £10 per additional artwork.

Prizes

The Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize:

• £3,000 cash prize award, and £500 Cass Art voucher
• Exhibition of a collection of your artworks in the Ashurst Emerging Artists Gallery for Jul-Sep 2018

The Ashurst Emerging Artist Choice Prize:

• £1,500 cash prize award, and £250 Cass Art voucher
• Exhibition of a collection of your artworks in the Ashurst London HQ for Jul-Sep 2018

The Ashurst Emerging Sculptor Prize:

• £1,000 cash prize award, and £250 Cass Art voucher
• Exhibition of a collection of your artworks in the Ashurst London HQ for Jul-Sep 2018

The Ashurst Emerging East London Artist Prize:

• £500 cash prize award
• Exhibition of a collection of your artworks in summer 2018, dates and location to be confirmed
