Diễn đàn European Development Days: Young Leaders Programme 2017 thảo luận về các chính sách trong lĩnh vực phát triển được tổ chức dành cho các bạn trẻ ở độ tuổi từ 21 đến 26, có khả năng diễn đạt tốt tiếng Anh, tiếng Pháp hoặc tiếng Tây Ban Nha. Các bạn sẽ ứng tuyển và được lựa chọn dựa theo các tiêu chí về sự hiểu biết và hoạt động ở lĩnh vực liên quan, khả năng lãnh đạo và vị trí từng đảm nhận cũng như kĩ năng thuyết trình trước đám đông. 16 bạn được chọn sẽ nhận tài trợ toàn phần chuyến đi 10 đến thành phố Brussels tại Bỉ, tham gia buổi thảo luận và tranh biện với các nhà lãnh đạo thế giới và tham quan cơ quan châu Âu. Organised by the European Commission, the European Development Days (EDD) bring the development community together each year to share ideas and experiences in ways that inspire new partnerships and innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.

Themes and Topics

The EDD 2017 will promote a new global strategy to address the most pressing current global development challenges and bring together development actors committed to tackling poverty worldwide with a particular emphasis on engaging the private sector as a partner in economic development. The private sector's role in international development policies will be discussed and spotlighted throughout the forum. Overarching objectives of the private sector engagement include the promotion of inclusive growth and the creation of decent jobs in particular for women and youth, which leads to improved living conditions. Together, we can shape global policy, share knowledge and promote real innovation.

Young Leaders Programme 2017

Youth are a driving force behind some of the most inspiring development projects. At EDD 2017, young people will have their voices heard in policy discussions that will shape our future. The 16 selected Young Leaders will share their views and experiences in high-level debates, alongside world leaders and other change-makers in the development field.

During their visit to Brussels, Young Leaders get the chance to visit European institutions, participate in workshops, meet key policymakers and interact with other young people driving change around the world. They will speak at various sessions and enjoy full access to the whole conference. Travel and accommodation is covered by the European Commission.
