The contest is open to anyone. There are no restrictions on nationality, age, gender, or experience (both professional and amateur photographers may enter).

Description
The New Cosmos of Photography is a contest sponsored by Canon Inc.

The New Cosmos of Photography is Canon’s cultural support project to discover, nurture, and support new photographers pursuing new possibilities in creative photographic expression. The annual contest, launched in 1991, has been open to the public regardless of the age or nationality of the contestant or the theme, the number, or format of entered works. Our greatest wish is that the New Cosmos of Photography will continue to be the place where people attempting to redefine the boundaries of creative photographic expression can take their first big step.

Entries are limited to original photographic works that have not been selected for awards or distinctions in other contests or competitions.

You can submit a digital version of your work using the Web application system, or you can submit your physical work by postal mail or courier.
