What is the Asia-Pacific Digital Trade Summit @AC?

The Asia-Pacific Digital Trade Summit @AC is an extracurricular activity that allows students to discuss relevant international issues that government leaders face on a day-to-day basis. As delegates representing the interests of individual countries, the team researches their country’s issues on a given topic, develop a position and draft a five-year action plan. They then participate in the full-day summit, where they present their action plans, negotiate with other states, draft and pass a regional action plan, and ultimately attempt to resolve problems and conflicts. Through this process, students gain an understanding of the needs and goals of the country that they represent and how their country interacts within the international community on digital trade.

Any high school or university student who is interested in debating international issues from different viewpoints and positions should consider participating in the Asia-Pacific Digital Trade Summit @AC.

Why should you participate in the Asia-Pacific Digital Trade Summit @AC?
The Asia-Pacific Digital Trade Summit @AC will allow you to learn about complex political and economic issues, improve your public speaking skills, broaden your English vocabulary, and develop skills in researching, writing, public speaking, communication, critical thinking, conflict resolution and team work. Your participation will also look great on your resume or your university applications! You can register individually or with a team of your friends to form a delegation.

This program is free of charge with a snack break and lunch.  Friends and family members of participants are invited to the closing ceremony which will be held from 4:00 to 4:30 pm.
