The objective

Create a single flat design illustration in line with the Orange brand identity guidelines to support the theme: “24 hours in the life of an Orange customer”.

 

 

As a designer you’re free to choose the situation and setting you like, along with the people you want to feature, young or old. Of course you can also include mobiles, tablets, computers, connected objects or smart homes and focus on personal or professional life.

The goal:

Three prizewinners will each be awarded € 5,000 in return for the rights for the Orange brand to use their illustration for a period of up to ten years, on all web and print media and in all operating countries.

Who can enter?

This is a competition for all students and young illustrators, open to all applicants in France and abroad up to 27 years old.

How does it work?

You can register online as soon as the website opens on 30 September. The closing date for registrations is 30 October.
Your application must include the following:

  • Your flat design illustration, which supports the theme: 24 hours in the life of an Orange customer (1 A4 PDF illustration, 1 PNG thumbnail 792 pixels wide by 1121 pixels high, in either portrait or landscape)
  • A detailed CV with your contact details
  • A scanned passport or national ID card
  • Your three or four key creative achievements (just so we can get to know you better; these won’t be used or published by Orange)
  • Your completed, signed and dated application form

As soon as you’re happy with your application, please convert your files to A4 PDF format so that you can submit them via the Orange Illustration Challenge website. You have until 17 November to finalise and validate your application. No further applications will be accepted after 17 November.

… What happens then?

1 December 2017: the Orange brand identity team will select and publish a shortlist of 15 illustrations on the site.

The 15 shortlisted applicants will be able to share their artwork via Facebook to collect as many votes as possible.

1 to14 December 2017: people can vote online for their favourite illustration to win the people’s choice prize.

15 December 2017: the Orange jury, chaired by Béatrice Mandine (Senior EVP, Communication & Brand at Orange Group), will award the two additional prizewinners.
