Echoes is the annual English speaking contest conducted by Voice of Hanu, Hanoi University. Following closely the success of previous competitions including Echoes 2013 and 2015, the coming back of Echoes 2017 promises to be a big bang with various chances for youths to have a voice in current issues as well as to show your own critical thinking, speech delivery and self-confidence. Along with the theme “Voice”, the slogan “Be you, be a virus” is also an emphasis which makes our contest unique and distinct. We hope language can do more than words. By spreading the ideas like a virus, little by little, each of us can help to build up a society that is worthier for everyone to live in.So, are you ready to be a virus of Echoes 2017? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------FIRST ROUND: Video making “Don’t shut your inner voice. It’s who you really are” (21/8-15/9)1. The contest is available for every student from 16 to 24 years old in Hanoi. 

2. Candidates are required to record a 3-minute video answering three questions that will be sent via email after registration at: goo.gl/okXvLi

3. Requirements for the video:

• The video should convey the spirit of this round, which is “Don’t shut your inner voice. It’s who you really are”
• The video content should be concise and coherent. Avoid being off topic and irrelevant information.
• Sound and image quality should be guaranteed at its finest before the video is uploaded.
