Since 2010, Peter Drucker Challenge Contest is an annual contest for students and professionals around the world showing their reflection on the human-oriented management philosophy of Peter Drucker in the essay format. The challenge winners have a chance to attend the Global Peter Drucker Forum - The world's leading management conference organized by Peter Drucker Society Europe. The events gather high executives, professors and leading thinkers coming from all parts of the globe.

The topic of this year is HOW TO STAY HUMAN IN A ROBOT SOCIETY.

Eligibility

General Requirements:

• You must be between 18-35 years old (inclusive of both ages);
• You must have been selected no more than once (or not at all) among the top 10 since 2010.

Essay Category Requirements:

Student category

• You are a part-time or full-time student (bachelor, master, MBA, or PhD);
• Or you are seeking your first opportunity after the completion of your last degree.

Professional category

• You are a manager of people, projects, budgets, and/or processes;
• Or you are a licensed professional;
• Or you are an entrepreneur or business owner;
• Or you are a social volunteer or community leader.

Evaluation criteria

• Your personal insights into the theme via the exploration and investigation of the cultural environment of which you are a part (the essay is meant to be personal, not academic or scientific, but you may include footnotes if you are citing specific facts or figures);
• Your evaluation of whether or not Peter Drucker's human-centered approach can be applied to a society in the age of AI
• Your provision of a compelling narrative and telling of a relevant story;
• Your originality and style;
• Your ability to express your thoughts in fluent English.

Prizes

The top 20 winners of each category will get:

• Free participation and waived registration fee (Regular fee +/- € 2,000) in the 10th Global Peter Drucker Forum to be held in Vienna on November 29 -30, 2018 at the Imperial Palace (Hofburg) 
• Invitation to pre-conference events on Nov. 28
• Invitation to the Gala event on Nov. 29 with seated dinner and awards ceremony (with partner) at City Hall’s ballroom
• Certificate with ranking
• Ranking list and publication of essay on www.druckerchallenge.org

The highest ranked will get additional benefits:

• A cash prize of € 1,000 
• Funding of travel expenses
