The New Culture Forum presents a unique and exciting opportunity for young people between the age of 16-24 to have their voices heard in the ever changing, chaotic world of 21st century culture and politics.

The NCF is offering a cash prize of £2000 for the winner of an exclusive essay competition. The winner will be the author of the best essay to be submitted under the title: “The Year in Europe in Review: Our columnist looks back at 2030”

Who are the New Culture Forum?

Since it was formed in 2006, the NCF has been challenging the cultural orthodoxies dominant in the media, academia, education, and British culture in its widest sense. We have forged important relationships within the national political, media and cultural spheres and now enjoy a high profile.

Competition Rules

• Essays must be submitted by 6pm Thursday 13th April 2017 to [email protected] with ‘NCF Essay Competition” in the subject line. Alternatively, entries will be accepted by post to New Culture Forum, 55 Tufton Street, London, SW1 P3QL. Envelopes should be marked ‘NCF Essay Competition’. No entries after this date will be accepted for the competition.

• The essay competition is open to everyone between the ages of 16-24.

• Only one entry per person will be allowed.

• The essay must be the sole creation and original work of that person. No previously published work will be accepted. Any form of plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification. All essays submitted will be closely checked for plagiarism.

• The essay should begin with a cover page stipulating the author’s full name, address, contact details (including email address).

• The Essay should not be longer than 2000 words excluding footnotes.

• Essays should contain page numbers.

• Essays should be referenced in Footnotes.

• Any specifics referred to in any essay should be fully cited the first time that they are used if applicable.

• The New Culture Forum reserves the right to reproduce in part or in full the winning essay.

• The New Culture Forum accepts no responsibility for delivery or for subsequent safekeeping of any essay entered for the competition.
