With origins dating back to 1897, today the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) is one of Scotland’s most innovative, modern, and international universities.

As part of its internationalization strategy, it forms partnerships with prestigious education and research organizations around the world, thus opening up its experience and resources to the world, while also benefiting from the infinite diversity of knowledge and experience that is out there.

It is within this strategy that the UWS has formed a collaborative partnership with the Management Centre of the Mediterranean in northern Cyprus to run certain UWS Masters programmes in Cyprus as well.

The University of the West of Scotland in Cyprus in partnership with the Management Centre of the Mediterranean is pleased to offer Masters Scholarship in the departments provided by the university.

Scholarships are awarded in the fields of:

1. Policy Analysis and Global Governance (MSc);
2. MSc Civil Society and Public Affairs (MSc);
3. Public Administration (MPA);
4. Creative Media Practice (MA);
5. Masters in Teaching English to Students of Other Languages (MEd).

• 25- 75% scholarship on Merit basis;
• Students who successfully complete their studies at UWS in Cyprus will receive a standard UWS degree parchment and this will be conferred by UWS at a formal graduation ceremony;
• The issuing and conferment of these awards are the responsibility of the University of the West of Scotland.

Eligibilities

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

1. Minimum CGPA: 3.0 (Over 4.0);
2. English Proficiency: IELTS 6.0/ TOEFL iBT 80 (Required if Bachelor’s Degree was not taught in English);
3. Students of all nationalities are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
