Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems is delighted to offer IFISC (CSIC-UIB) Scholarships Mobility Grants for students for International students.

IFISC (Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems) is a joint research institute of the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB) and the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) created in 2007. Its mission is to develop Cross-Disciplinary and Strategic Research in complex systems following the established scientific approach of physicists.

Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue Master degree programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the field of Physics of Complex Systems.

Scholarship Award: The scholarship will amount a total of € 6,000 (six thousand euros), in two instalments: € 2,000 at the beginning of the first semester, after the student has actually enrolled in the master and € 4,000 at the beginning of the second semester. The scholarship is aimed at covering all or part of the costs of travel and living (including the cost of food and accommodation) detailed in the application of the selected students.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:

CSIC offers JAE-INTRO grants (2000 €) open to those who have scored a minimum of 7.8/10 in the bachelor’s degree.

Nationality: International students are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have their bachelor’s degree.

English language Requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.

How to Apply: Applications must be submitted electronically using the form available at the website ifisc.uib-csic.es/master/fellowships. To be considered for the scholarships, additionally, the applicant must have pre-enrolled to the master using the application form at www.uib.eu/study/master.

The following documentation must be attached:

• The copy of ID card or passport.
• Personal academic certificate, including the topics, covered and the grades obtained.
• Curriculum Vitae.
• A brief description of the interest in pursuing this Master and a justification of the need for the support of mobility costs.
• Optionally, a list of professionals to whom the Selection Committee may, if necessary, request letters of recommendation.
