On the 5th & 6th of October 2017, Talentnet & Mercer organize the most-awaited event of HR community to present to clients the highlights of Vietnam Total Remuneration Survey results in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

With 514 MNCs and 78 big local companies and remuneration data of more than 289,000 employees, Talentnet – Mercer remuneration survey report is considered the largest & most comprehensive one in Vietnam.  The report will offer holistic view about total rewards, insightful information and data from Vietnam labor, which assists companies in benchmarking their pay competitiveness with related industry or their selected group of competitors.

According to the latest Mercer “Managing talent in turbulent times” report, the salary increase percentage in 2017 is slightly higher than the 2016 across ASEAN countries. However, in 2018, the salary increase percentage is forecasted to be slightly lower than the 2017.  There is also a significant gap between emerging and developed countries; in which the percentage of salary increase of Vietnam, Indonesia, and Cambodia are quite high in comparison with Singapore. It seems that those countries with higher need of talent attraction and retention will enjoy more chance of higher salary increase than others.

Another forecast of Vietnam labor market unveils top labor challenges including big gap between supply and demand at senior management level, higher expectation from young talent for fast career progression as well as increasing competition between local companies and MNC at senior management level.

A closer look into highlights of 2017 Vietnam total remuneration reports will be offered in our annual signature Talentnet-Mercer Post Survey Seminar, which is conducting in the 5thof October and the 6th in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City respectively. With a commonly used global methodology from Mercer in data collection and analysis, and local insights from dedicated Talentnet consultants, the Total Remuneration Survey report will be a key guideline for organizations. It will provide business an overall and accurate picture of their pay competitiveness and assist them in salary budget planning for the year 2018.
