American Paradise Camp (APC) is the first English language international summer camp for children in Vietnam. Campers aged 8-18 spend one or two weeks at APC’s beachfront property, learning a variety of different activities such as kayaking, arts and crafts, music, football, rock climbing, digital photography, and surfing. APC counselors (teachers) from around the world help create a fun and safe environment for campers during their time at camp. If you have experience working with children, love the outdoors, and want a chance to live and travel in Southeast Asia, being a part of APC team might be the right job for you.

Tasks

May 20 – middle August 2016: work at APC camp in Peaceful 2 resort, Binh Thuan

Scan and send letters of campers to parents

Post pictures on facebook and flickr

Response emails from parents, print and send parents’ letter to campers

Help the senior administrator in managing daily operation & logistics at camp. Manage business supplies such as office supplies, laundry service, and summer camp equipment as needed, organize laundry service. Work with housekeeping & maintenance staffs, organize and keep record of office inventory

Go to hospital with patient if any

Requirements:

Fluent in English – can communicate with foreigners on daily basis

Willing to work hard, agile, active at work, honest, responsible

Careful and considerate

Skills required: Management skills, Customer service, admin & logistics arrangement, problem solving

Working time: full time 6 days a week

#Nurse position:

Purpose of camp nurse & Responsibilities:

Camp nurse will take care of campers and counselors when they are ill or injured

Translate camper’s health form from Vietnam to English

Review pre-arrival camper health form

Establish health needs during camper arrival time

Order necessary medication for camp, Medication administration, Health care documentation, Illness and injury management

Follow up laundry at camp

Support admin staff

Requirement

Certificated in nursing or taking care of people

Strong in English  

Love kids, be willing to work hard and enjoy outdoor experience like camping

Pediatric and/or camp experience

APC recruits Vietnamese counselors

This is a full time summer seasonal position from May 25 – August 05 in Phan Thiet province, Vietnam

Teach and play more than 40 different activities at camp with kids!

Lead and be a friend to a group of children. As you can speak Vietnamese, most of the time you will be assigned to the youngest cabin (with kids from 8 – 10 years old).

Your primary responsibility is to ensure the children’s safety and well-being and to help make the children’s camp experience fun and rewarding

The daily routine will include interpreting for the young kids (8-10 years old), leading a cabin group of 6-8 children and teaching them various activities (sports, games, arts, etc.)

APC counselors live in cabins with the campers, spending nearly 24 hours a day, 6 days a week with them

Requirements Skills & Experience

Recruit 3 counselors – male & female. Preferably 22 years or older with teaching experience

Be very strong in English, either native speaking or very fluent

The traits we are looking for are patient, responsible, caring, energetic, and fun

Applicants are preferred to have knowledge or can play any of sports, arts, waterfront, climbing, or other outdoor activities

Healthy & don’t have any health problems

Applicants are preferred to have previous experience working with groups of children and love working with kids
