The ASEAN Youth Leaders Association (AYLA) – Vietnam National Chapter is a non-governmental organization to strengthen leadership development and networking as well as develop community in Vietnam. Through a variety of programs and engagements, including educational exchanges, volunteer and charitable activities, AYLA Vietnam seeks to build leadership capabilities of youth, strengthen ties among Vietnam and other countries in Southeast Asia, and especially create a long-term impact on society.Vietnamese youth account for more than 60% of the nation’s population, therefore, AYLA Vietnam is an effort to unlock their enormous potential to address critical issues and open up opportunities. AYLA Vietnam focuses on 3 critical topics identified by our team: Education, Environment and Social Entrepreneurship. The problem raises wider issues of environment and education, our team wants to provide the entrepreneurial approaches that are employed to address social issues in Vietnam such as water pollution or poor facilities in schools.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates nominated should:

  • Be between the ages of 15 - 30 at the time of application;
  • Be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English;
  • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and potential in their university, place of work, or community;
  • Demonstrate interest, knowledge, or professional experience in Education;
  • Indicate a serious interest in learning about ASEAN as a region;
  • Be willing to actively participate in an intensive academic program, community service, and study tour;
