Business Support Services Assistant

We are looking for a Business Support Services Assistant to join our Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) branch. As the Business Support Services Assistant, you will provide effective and efficient assistance to the Business Support Services (BSS) team in the scope of IT support (50%) and administration, facilities/premises management (50%). You are to ensure that BSS’s services are fully functional and are and timely outcome to the need of the British Council’s operation in HCMC. The incumbent will work closely with HCMC IT Executive and BSS Executive, Branch IT and Facilities Assistants, technical vendors and BSS colleagues within the British Council in Vietnam to ensure the continuity of business operations and resolving IT issues to enhance the quality of IT support and administration, facilities/ premises services for the main office and its 3 centres in HCMC.

To be considered, you must have at least 1 to 2 years’ experience in the relevant field such as experience in Computer/Wired and Wireless Networking and in facilities/ premises management. Certificate in either IT and/or Premises field is required. Good English skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) and excellent Vietnamese skills are a must.

Ho Chi Minh City operation

The British Council in Ho Chi Minh City, an integral part of the British Council in Vietnam, is an operation of 100+ staff with the main office and 3 centres, with activities in all areas (teaching centre, examination services, programmes in arts and culture, education and society). There are major plans to build the scale of our engagement in the city, with a particular emphasis on expanding our teaching centre footprint. The Business Support Services function, which is a very dynamic team of the British Council in Ho Chi Minh City, provides high standard business support services to the Strategic Business Units, in the area of facilities/ premises and administration management, human resources and IT services. The Ho Chi Minh City team coordinates with colleagues in its main office in Hanoi to ensure a consistent country approach to all internal practices and processes, as well as in connection with colleagues from Regional office and Hub service team.
