The British Council Sales and Customer Management Team in Ho Chi Minh City is now looking for invigilators working flexibly in three Ho Chi Minh branches, to assist us during our language assessment days.

Job Summary

The British Council Sales and Customer Management team in Ho Chi Minh City is now looking for invigilators working flexibly in three Ho Chi Minh branches, to assist us during our language assessment days. You will:

  • prepare placement test materials (pens, pencils, eraser, test papers, registration forms, etc.)
  • set-up testing rooms
  • welcome and check name and arrival time of the customers
  • instruct customers fill information in the registration form
  • input test results and customer data into the system with high accuracy.
  • tick customers attendance on system 
  • instruct customers take a test clearly
  • mark language assessment written papers
  • float customers from writing room to interview room
  • instruct students to counselling area for further consultation after oral test
  • report on language assessment daily problem and language assessment record to Language Assessment Team Leader
  • file documents
  • carry out other tasks as required by Language Assessment Team Leader.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in different areas of customer journey and teaching. 

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • good level of English and Vietnamese (Intermediate and above)
  • good communication and organisation skills
  • be flexible for at least ten hours of work per week (including Saturday/Sunday and evenings)
  • high sense of responsibility, dynamism, attention to details and customer-oriented 
  • ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and well-being of children
  • ability to demonstrate the British Council’s behaviours at essential level: working together, making things happen and being accountable. For details please refer to the British Council’s behaviours
  • ability to work as part of a team
  • ability to use MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Explorer)
  • preferably first or second year university student.

Term of Service

This is a term-based hourly paid contract position. Gross service fees: VND45,000 per hour, together with active working environment and career development opportunities.
