Marketing Assistant
The Marketing team in our Ho Chi Minh City branch is recruiting for a Marketing Assistant who is able to carry out marketing administrative tasks and provide support to the team. This is to ensure the effectiveness of the English teaching centre marketing activities and contribute to the achievement of business targets and marketing objectives. The main responsibilities will include creating Purchase Orders and down payment for Marketing campaigns and investments, following up on suppliers’ quotations, contracts, and their delivery of goods and services and supporting the organisation of events, marketing activities, focus groups and surveys. As the Marketing Assistant, you will need to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders such as the Sales and Customer Management team, Academic team and with Teacher Coordinators to support marketing campaigns. The post holder may be required to work during the weekend when there is a marketing activity or when an event occurs (usually once every quarter).

To be considered, you must have at least 1-year of proven practical working experience in marketing, communication field in a service orientated environment. We are looking for individuals who have successfully organised work, met deadlines and worked well with colleagues in a busy office. Proven skills in delivering high standard work in a professional multi-national environment with cultural sensitivity is a plus. You must have the qualifications of a College or University degree in any discipline and if you have a marketing specialisation or qualification, you will have an advantage. Excellent English and Vietnamese communication and writing skills are essential. Skills such as adaptability and data analysis are preferred.

Vietnam operation

In Vietnam, the British Council is active in English and Exams with 4 teaching centres and manages programmes in Education, Society, English for Education Systems, Arts, and the UK-Vietnam Seasons project. The country currently has about 200 full-time staff members in the Strategic Business Units, of whom about two-thirds currently work in English and Exams.

The British Council Vietnam’s teaching centre operates in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with two teaching locations in each city. Teaching Centre plans are aligned to East Asia Regional objectives:
- Expand presence with our vision 2020
- Focus on a culture of teaching, invest in people and quality to maintain and enhance brand and reputation
- Improve market messaging, content and delivery and parent/learner understanding
- Increase impact from digital promotion and customer engagement
- Embed sales and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in customer service
