Description:

The Product Specialist is primarily responsible for working directly with customers to provide technical expertise for software configuration, implementation, upgrade, and support services for solutions distributed by Digital Insights.  Current solutions include iQuatic based products (Shrimp, Salmon, Tilapia).  Other tasks include custom software solutions testing, report modifications, and technical support of databases, Windows servers, and Microsoft SQL Server and SSRS, mobile applications (IOS, Android) and Cloud services.

  • Perform customer support - 60%:

    • Provide timely response and resolution to support cases to drive customer satisfaction.  Includes some after-hours on-call support and project work;

  • Participate in customer implementation projects - 20%:

    • Includes configuration, upgrades, training, testing, support, and end-user competency validation.  Includes Customization testing, documentation, facilitating customer-facing training sessions, and supporting the Sales/Account Management process with product demonstrations and on-site visits.  On-going knowledge, skills and certifications will be developed on Digital Insight products- based on candidate experience levels and business needs;

  • Conduct testing to verify performance of new software releases - 10%:

    • Support other team members and assist with supporting the overall proactive work-flow of customer issues and escalations;

    • Provide the “voice of the customer” within Digital Insights;

  • Continuous improvement - 10%: Participates in process improvement initiatives to improve our efficiency and ability to serve our customers.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience;

    • Fluency in languages of area of support;

    • Preferred qualifications;

    • Bachelor’s degree in Aquaculture related field;

  • Preferred Experience:

    • Work experience in an aquaculture environment, and/ or aquaculture industry understanding;

    • 3 years customer service delivery experience in the following areas:

      • Software system configuration;

      • Software version upgrades;

      • Software functionality training and end-user competency validation;

      • Software testing skills;

      • Software customer support skills;

      • Software issue resolution;

      • Software Customization testing and documentation;

      • Database systems: SQL/ SSRS, ODBC, Windows, and report modification skills;

      • Citrix and Virtual Environment configurations, and support skills;

      • IT/ Networking/ Client-server environments;

      • Mobile Applications (iOS, Android);

      • Cloud systems and support;

    • Project Management skills preferred. Focus would be smaller Service projects of 1 – 50 hours;

  • Other relevant information to the position:

    • Ability to travel up to 20% domestic and international;

    • Ability to work on-call rotation and some after-hours;

    • Comfort and passion for extensive, direct client interaction;

    • Excellent time management, multi-tasking, change management, prioritization, and strong interpersonal skills;

    • Ability to learn new software products, software solutions, new technologies, and tools quickly;

    • Ability to deal with an agile environment, including change management skills;

    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office, Outlook, Word, Excel;

    • Continued growth in industry knowledge, product knowledge, complex customer environments, and communications are essential for advancement within the position. However, as a Product Specialist, this position will also have the opportunity to grow customer collaboration and project delivery expertise. The candidate will build core communication, influencing, and leadership skills that can translate to other roles within the company. Those roles include but are not limited to analyst or project manager in the Solution Delivery team within Format Solutions, Product Owner or Account Executive.
