Vacancy: Education Junior Project Assistant

Based in Hochiminh City with frequent travel to Dong Nai province

Main Responsibilities:This position works under the guidance and supervision of Senior Project Officer to assist the project team in the overall field management of project activities and monitoring effective implementation of “Improving Quality and Equal Access to Education of Deprived Ethnic Minority and Migrant Children in Vietnam” funded Bulgari. This project will contribute in improving the school readiness, learning outcomes and access to hygiene facilities in school among migrant pre-schoolers in Dong Nai industrial zones, Dong Nai Province.

Key Competencies:

Essential

• University degree in Social sciences or related field;
• Have at least 01 year working experience in community development, especially education area.
• Ability to learn quickly and respond to multiple demands;
• Positive attitude to working with children in schools, parents, school and communities’ leaders,
• Knowledge of child participation, early childhood development is a plus
• Good English speaking and writing skills;
• Willing to travel

• Experience working with education sector
• Flexibility and a sense of humour – ability to work, live and thrive in challenging circumstances;

Vacancy: Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency ResponseProject Officer

Based in Hochiminh City

Main Responsibilities:The Project Officer (PO) DRR&ER in Southern region is a member of DRR&ER team and is primarily responsible for the implementation of the DRR&WASH project in Mekong Delta provinces. The PO will assist to ensure that Save the Children Vietnam activities are consistent with SCI and Members’ programming principles and approaches, draw on good practices and lessons learned, enable children to attain their rights and are compliant with donor regulations.

Key Competencies:

• At least 2 years’ experience in an NGO environment, including experience implementing programs in related fields;

• Bachelor’s degree in community develop, social work, environment or related field

• Experience in DRR and/or WASH is desired;

• Good understanding of challenges facing vulnerable children and communities in Mekong Delta.

• Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds;

• Good knowledge/experience of effective budget monitoring;

• Good skills in communicating in English and Vietnamese;

• Good interpersonal skills; and

• Commitment  to  and  understanding  of  SCI  aims,  values  and principles  including rights-based approaches.
