ROLE OVERVIEW

The British Council in Vietnam is a priority country for the British Council within East Asia. Our work focuses on increasing prosperity in Vietnam by supporting reform of the education system to meet the needs of the 21st century, up-skilling social and arts entrepreneurs, and supporting government policy. 

We have two centres in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with two additional branch teaching centres in each. Hanoi English teaching centres operates in two locations at 20 Thuy Khue, Tay Ho and at Brendon School, Trung Hoa Nhan Chinh. Our English courses include myClass English for Adults, IELTS exam preparation courses for Adults and High school students, Academic English for High school students, Secondary English course, and Primary English course, StoryTime English course for five years old.

We are looking for part-time helpers to support English Services Sales Consultant Team to do general administrative duties, including but not limited to the following:

Job Summary

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in different areas of customer journey and teaching centre (such as Invigilating Placement Test, input customer data on systems and other administrative duties)

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Good level of English and Vietnamese (Pre-Intermediate and above)
  • Good communication and organisation skills
  • Be flexible for at least ten hours of work per week (including Saturday/Sunday and evenings)
  • High sense of responsibility, dynamism, attention to details and customer-oriented 
  • Ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and well-being of children
  • Ability to demonstrate British Council’s behaviours at Essential level: Working together, Making things happen and Being Accountable
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to use MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Explorer)
  • Preferably first or second year university student
