Overview

The US Agency for International Development (USAID) Vietnam Low Emission Energy Program (V-LEEP) helps strengthen the foundation for low emission energy in Vietnam, working to improve the country’s energy security, environment, and competitiveness by catalyzing the rapid deployment of modern clean energy services.

The V-LEEP project, implemented by Deloitte Consulting and based in Hanoi, seeks qualified candidates to fill a full-time Project Delivery Coordinator position. The position will support V-LEEP’s designated government counterpart, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT).

Location

The primary place of work will be at the office of the Electricity and Renewable Energy Authority (EREA) of MOIT in Hanoi, Vietnam. The secondary work-site will be the V-LEEP project office in Hanoi, Vietnam. Limited domestic travel may be expected as required by project activities. Work and travel will be in compliance with the policies and procedures of the US government, Deloitte Consulting, and the V-LEEP project.

Position Description

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Working closely with the MOIT counterpart team, the V-LEEP Operations Director, and VLEEP’s local teams on a variety of tasks related to project activities, operations, event coordination, logistics, and general project management and administration for V-LEEP.
• Supporting the MOIT counterpart team in managing their engagement with V-LEEP, including administrative and secretarial tasks such as ensuring the smooth flow of communications, comments, and feedback, and filing and management of project documents.
• Providing status updates on V-LEEP activities to the MOIT counterpart team members on a periodical basis and as requested.
• Assisting MOIT in tracking the project’s activities, timelines, milestones, and results.
• Facilitating communications between the MOIT counterpart and V-LEEP teams, and serving as liaison to help ensure effective transmission of requests.
• Facilitating and coordinating meetings between EREA and V-LEEP, and other meetings/events upon request.
• Proactively identifying challenges, issues, or gaps of understanding between the MOIT counterpart and V-LEEP project teams, helping to create and apply prompt solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as environment management, energy, engineering or related ones.
• Minimum work experience of five years in managing and/or coordinating international projects / official development assistance (ODA) projects on environmental protection, climate change, and energy, is preferred.
• Experience working with complex networks of stakeholders is preferred.
• Experience working with USAID-funded and/or other donor-funded projects is highly preferred.
• Experience providing project management services for MOIT is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with the government entities, international donors, and other USG partners.
• Fluency in Vietnamese and English required.
