National Consultancy Team to Conduct the 1st Module of Teaching Vietnamese as a Second Language Training for Core Trainers

Project description:

A 3 year project titled “Quality Pre-Primary and Primary Education for Ethnic Minority Students in North and Central Regions of Vietnam” with fund from Japan has been implemented by Plan International Vietnam in Lai Chau and Kon Tum since October 2016 and is planned to be implemented until the end of September 2019.

The project is designed to support for the children from the ethnic minority groups in the two province to receive quality preschool and primary school education under the adequate education environment.

We are looking for experienced, qualified and motivated Vietnamese National consultancy team to conduct the 1st module of Teaching Vietnamese as a Second Language training for core trainers in close collaboration with Plan International Vietnam staff. Please see the TOR attached.

Position detail: Consultant

The consultant must have the following expertise:

• Have knowledge on preschool and primary school education in Vietnam.
• Have strong and practical experiences on languages and teaching Vietnamese as a second language for ethnic minority children.
• Have strong and practical experiences in pre-primary and primary education curriculum and teacher’s training material development.
• Have knowledge and skills on Teaching Vietnamese as a Second Language application, especially in pre-school and primary school.
• Have knowledge on child rights, and child right based approach. 
• Have a strong knowledge and experiences on behaviour change approaches and methodologies that are applicable to the community and parenting education.
