Creative? Passionate? Looking for a different kind of post-grade challenge with proven educational start-up? MoJo English is now accepting applications to recruit 1-2 Junior Project Officers to join our core-team, taking on a mix of exciting project work and hands on in-class teaching support of our young learners and foreign teaching staff.

These are full-time positions and are reserved for intelligent, ambitious recent college graduates who are serious about developing a career in the education sector.  

For over 3 years, MoJo English has been serving a growing community of parents and young learners through our innovated Project-Based Learning (PLB) method of English language training for young learners (3-14), heavily incorporating the arts, music, science and life skills. 

Requirements

We will give preference to candidates with prior experience working with children (3-14 years old) in a classroom setting, but applicants from *all* majors and disciplines are encouraged to apply. While Junior Officers will work as general support staff on projects as assigned, there will be specialization and career advancement opportunities for proven officers in the areas of IT, curriculum development, research & evaluation and event planning and community outreach.

Successful candidates must possess excellent spoken and written English, proficient computer and office skills, and competency and experience in at least one of the skill areas detailed below. Above all, successful candidates will be flexible, quick-learners who know how to deal with set-backs and have a "growth mindset" towards their own ability to change.

Job Responsibilities

In-class Support and Teaching Assistance

Do you love working with children? All Junior Officers spend significant time gaining critical experience with our students as teaching assistants, aid our foreign teaching staff to prepare for lesson activities, support student in the classroom, and regularly reporting learning outcomes to parents. Supporting our classes is incredibly rewarding, and allows new staff to understand Mojo's programs inside and out, and support their project work.

Outings and Community Outreach

Like working with people? Good at building contacts and finding exciting new things in Hanoi's ever-changing urban arts, music, culture and business scene? Junior Officers will work in conjunction with the Academic Coordinator to investigate, expand MoJo's growing network of local partners to provide meaningful and educational field trips and special events for MoJo's student and parent community.

Reading Incentives Program

Are you passionate about reading? Are you interested in getting 20,000 ebooks in the hands of parents and students to promote a culture of early reading in Vietnam? Junior Officers will work with the Academic Coordinator to engage our growing community of parents to practice story time with children under 3-7 through our easy-to-use ebook platform. Some of the officer's responsibilities include researching and managing monthly age and skill appropriate reading-lists, creating quizzes and extension activities and hosting regular reading hours with parents and students. They will also work with the academic staff to further develop our exciting new reading rewards program for primary and secondary students.

Student Achievement and Evaluation

Do you enjoy research and care about ensuring quality outcomes? Are you good with managing data? Do you want to help develop educational programs that teach not only hard skills, but develop the whole child? Junior Officers will work with the Academic Coordinator to maintain student performance records, as well as create and implement new evaluation metrics to measure the effectiveness of MoJo's innovative Project-Based Learning Method (Hands on English) as well as further develop MoJo's student behavior management system, Class DoJo which recognizes the development of growth mindset and other important social skills among students.

Curriculum and Program Planning

Do you believe learning should be "hands-on" and messy? Can you think of 100 ways to teach the color, red? Do you have talents and interest in arts and crafts, music, or science and math? The Junior Officers will work with the Academic Coordinator and Academic Manager to test and implement new curriculum and content for special academic programs as well as work to set new standards, learning objectives and guidelines for teachers and teaching assistants.. The officer is involved in all stages of content development from planning and research, to testing in the classroom and widespread adoption across all of MoJo's course offerings.

Compensation

Starting Salary: 3.000.000 - 6.000.000VND (based on working time and experience)
