Job summary
The British Council Customer Management Team in Hanoi is now looking for Customer Management Helpers based at the Brendon Branch, Hanoi, to assist us during our Registration days. You will:
- welcome customers
- input customer data into the system
- file documents
- supervise placement test process
- make phone calls to students or parents where necessary
- carry out other tasks as required by Customer Management staff and Branch Manager.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in different areas of customer journey and teaching. For details please refer to the British Council’s behaviours. Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Good level of English and Vietnamese (Pre-Intermediate and above)
- Good communication and organization skills
- Be flexible for at least ten hours of work per week (including Saturday/Sunday and evenings)
- High sense of responsibility, dynamism, attention to details and customer-oriented
- Ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and well-being of children
- Ability to demonstrate the British Council’s behaviours at Essential level: Working together, Making things happen and Being Accountable
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to use MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Explorer)
- Preferably first or second year university student
TERM OF SERVICE
This is a term-based hourly paid contract position and based at the Brendon Office. Gross service fees: in local currency equal to VND45,000 per hour, together with active working environment and career development opportunities.

We have two centres in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with additional branch teaching centres in each. Our English courses include myClass English for Adults, IELTS exam preparation courses for adults and high school students, Academic English for high school students, Secondary English course, and Primary English course, StoryTime English course for five years old.
We are looking for part-time sales and customer management staff with the following main tasks:
Sales target (to existing customers and exams services)
- Via face-to-face exams consultation: provide face-to-face consultations to all customers in the centre by finding out their needs, issues and concerns and recommending an exam product that best suits them.
- Provide participation and/or provide sales support in all sales and marketing events (in or out of the centre) with the purpose of creating awareness and generating leads for the centre
Customer management
- To handle face-to-face, email and telephone enquiries from existing students and after sales enquiries from exams customers
- To deal with general enquiries, transferring calls to staff and forwarding 2nd tier e-mail enquiries to relevant teams
- To handle all 1st level complaints/feedback of existing customers
- To follow up with existing students on incidents e.g. absent/movement and cancellation or failing students
- To be the first point of contact at Front of House (FOH) for credit or refund request
- Maintain call centre recorded messages, ensuring they are up to date and accurate.
Registration of new customers for exams
- Via face-to-face: ensure that all new face-to-face exams customers are registered accurately
- Ensure that all records are updated and maintained accurately

Any other duties as assigned by the line manager
