This position reports to the Senior Manager of Consumer Marketing – PR of Running & Training. The primary responsibility for this position is to provide support for PR initiatives, special events and product placement campaigns. This position will be responsible for product seeding, mailers, placement tracking and special projects.  The intern will gain real life public relations experience and be able to work on projects related to the running and training category for the PUMA brand.

Press Relations

• Filling product placement requests from the media
• Creating and maintaining media lists as needed
• Researching new media opportunities
• Help generate product and brand stories for the Running and Training BU
• Support creating media materials and press kits
• Help execute projects from start to finish
• Help in the organization of events

PR Administrative

• Responsible for maintaining sample closet
• Respond to inquiries from PUMA teams across the globe
• Manage PR Placement Reports
• Support other product line PR campaigns as needed
• Represent the brand and utilize the PUMA 4Keys (Fair, Honest, Positive, Creative) in all decisions, actions, processes and practices

• Communications/PR Major
• Excellent writing and organization skills
• Strong computer skills, with knowledge of basic MS Office programs
• Knowledge of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat)
