HIRING - PROGRAM INTERNS & CAMPUS AMBASSADORS

  1. PROGRAM INTERNS

Type of work: Full-time

Duration: 3 – 6 months. Based in HCMC

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment: Working closely with an assigned manager/mentor from Talent Acquisition team, to support with cultivating and matriculating potential Fellows by:
  • Executing given tasks such as event planning, supporting presentations in recruitment events, and participating in recruitment initiatives
  • Leading projects or initiatives under the guidance of manager/mentor. Projects may include market research, building Campus Leader portal, creating new recruitment materials etc.
  • Event organizing: Ensuring logistics and plans are in place to execute the vision for various events completing tasks such as:
  • Assisting with planning and organizing activities
  • Coordinating volunteers
  • Managing pre event materials
  • Supporting the leadership development program for fellows after recruitment
  • Other tasks as assigned

More details will be discussed in the interview.

Successful candidates should have the following qualifications:

  • 3rd – 4th year students/ fresh graduates
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Process-driven and love for learning and operating within multiple contexts and situations
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • Accountable and attention to detail

  1. CAMPUS AMBASSADORS

Duration: 3 months – 1 year

Position Summary Teach For Vietnam is now recruiting Campus Ambassadors (CA) to work in collaboration with recruitment staff to design and implement a comprehensive strategy to inspire outstanding student leaders to join the 2017-2019 Fellowship. In this volunteer position, CAs have a unique opportunity to develop their professional skills in networking, marketing, and communications while gaining an understanding of how a successful international nonprofit organization operates.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a keen understanding of Teach For Vietnam’s mission, vision, program, and the Fellow experience, and communicate these effectively and compellingly to diverse audiences;
  • Identify and reach out to top students with excellent English skills on campus, regularly collecting and entering that data to inform recruitment progress
  • Work with Campaign Manager to set and define goals for campus campaigns;
  • Design and execute a recruitment communications and marketing strategy that leads to high visibility for Teach For Vietnam on campus and an effective recruitment process;
  • Network with University staff, professors, and student organizations to secure presentations in classes/clubs and meetings in the recruitment campaign and throughout the year;
  • Assuming responsibility for the success of the campaign on your campus by preparing for and actively participating in team meetings with TFV staff;
  • Other support as necessary

Successful candidates should have the following qualifications:

  • Talented, dynamic, and highly motivated people who want to contribute to community development and education.
  • Students of 3rd or senior year at university
  • Involvement in at least 1 student lead group (club, organization, etc.) on campus;
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented organizer who excels in entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and results-oriented environments;
  • Ability to problem solve effectively and independently to generate relevant solutions;
  • Exceptional inter-personal & public speaking skills, and the ability to inspire diverse audiences;
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment

As an independent, locally led nonprofit organization, Teach For Vietnam enlists the most promising future leaders from multiple industries to create more educational opportunities for all children in Vietnam. Participants in the programme, known as Fellows, serve as full-time teachers for two years in high-need schools across Vietnam, and commit to transforming the education outcomes of less-privileged schoolchildren through significantly improving their achievements and aspirations. In the long term, after 2 years of teaching and fitting in with the community, these former teachers from different industries will collectively create a wave of change to achieve education equity and excellence for all children in Vietnam.
