The mission of Talent Strategy and Operations Officer (TSOO) is to support Teach For Vietnam in recruitment of highly capable university graduates and young professionals with great potential to be highly effective fellows, as well as branding for the Fellowship Programme to ensure it becomes one of the top 10 most prestigious graduate programmes in Vietnam.

Job Description

Recruitment

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to meet application targets
  • Conduct market research and focus groups to refine the above strategies
  • Strengthen and elevate Teach For Vietnam’s profile on- and off-campus, with corporate partners, and through campus and wider media
  • Work with corporate partners to support joint recruitment strategies
  • Cultivate potential talent, and deliver a compelling proposition tailored to young professionals’ and graduates’ motivations and interests
  • Actively identify and target the most outstanding graduate talent, successfully influencing them to apply to the TFV Fellowship
  • Build, maintain, and leverage networks with student leaders/influencers/groups, administrators, faculty members, career service advisors, and other key gatekeepers
  • Support a team of volunteers, Campus Ambassadors who assist in the execution of recruitment strategies
  • Working with other team members to produce materials to support recruitment efforts, ensuring adherence to organizational brand, marketing and positioning strategies
  • Conduct online campaigns using social networking and web marketing
  • Track and support recruitment strategies
  • Oversee logistical coordination for recruitment events, information sessions, career fairs, and other events or visits

Selection

  • Support the Fellowship selection process
  • Oversee the implementation of an online application and tracking system
  • Work with our selecting partners and other stakeholder involvement in the selection process
  • Execute training for selection panels, and develop a strategy for quality assurance on selection decisions
  • In charge of logistical and administrative arrangements for the selection process
  • Convert graduate offers into acceptances
  • Support successful fellows to placement schools
  • Work with the RSM manager to manage the recruitment budget
  • Cooperate with other members of the organization in the recruitment drive
  1. Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree
  • 1 – 3 years of work experience
  • Results-driven and goal-orientated with a drive to exceed aspirational targets
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills; the ability to establish effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Creativity and innovation to devise solutions to effectively market the TFV Fellowship program
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to assess, prioritize and manage a varied workload

[TÂY NINH] LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

  1. Mission for the role:

The Leadership Development Officer (LDO) supports and coaches Fellows throughout their two years on the Fellowship. LDOs are recognised as heavily influencing the quality of the Fellowship experience in teaching and leadership development, partnering with Fellows to help them set and achieve ambitious goals for self-development and student impact. LDOs work with their regional teams, as well as other Functions of Teach For Vietnam and the wider stakeholder community to connect Fellows to further development opportunities, to increase the impact on their students and work towards seeing the mission fulfilled.

Duties and Responsibilities

Set Big Goals

  • Support and coach Fellows in developing their vision and ambitious goals for their student impact in the 3AIMs (Achievement, Access and Affect)
  • Support and coach Fellows in developing their vision and ambitious goals for their leadership development over the 2 years

Invest in Team & Stakeholders

  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence, trust, effective relationship-building and team work with all our colleagues, including Fellows
  • Foster strong relationships with all members of the educational community and act as catalysts and conduits for new partnerships and initiatives
  • Work with Fellows and our teams (LDOs, regional) to identify challenges and solutions both within and outside of the classroom, considering the impact on student and Fellow learning
  • Work with the Research, Design and Impact team and wider stakeholders including Principals, Ministry Coaches, University Providers and School-based Mentors to identify and apply best practice in pedagogical support, adult facilitation and learning theory, to accelerate Fellows’ impact in the classroom

Plan Purposefully & Execute Effectively

  • Work with Fellows and their team to deliver effective support including long-term strategic planning of priorities, weekly regional team meetings to reflect and plan opportunities for further Fellow development
  • Designing effective Fellow support/ development plans and scheduling effective interactions with Fellows including coaching 1-1s, classrooms observations & feedback, and collaborative meetings between Fellows, School-Based Mentors and wider stakeholders (e.g. Ministerial Coaches, network partners etc.)
  • Plan and conduct workshops for best practice sharing and ongoing professional development training that aligns with Teach for Vietnam’s curriculum’s Scope and Sequence
  • Effectively collaborating across Teach for Vietnam Functions and wider stakeholders
  • Regular interactions with the Senior LDO/Associate Director Leadership Development to reflec on progress towards goals, continuous professional development and effectiveness as a team

Continually Increase Effectiveness

  • Invest in continuous professional development and considers ways to continuously improve the effectiveness of the LD team, Programme team and Teach for Vietnam as a whole
  • Collaborating with other LDOs to share best practices that can enhance the support all Fellows
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving when collaboratively with Fellows, LD, Programme team and Teach For Vietnam
  • Identifying trends and opportunities for further development in the short, medium and longterm

 1. Mission for the Role

The Development and fundraising Officer will support our goals as a not-for-profit organisation by helping to develop, organize and manage our fundraising and corporate partnerships development efforts in order to guarantee the sustainability and financial viability of our activities.

Specific responsibilities

  • Manage the accounts of different key corporate partners and individual givers of our organization, including strategic design for each relationship, follow-up and communication management, preparation of relevant presentations and partnership packages, planning of key meetings and support to the CEO in preparing for those.
  • Research and create a strategy for connecting with key partners and potential supporters and funders of our organization.
  • Write and manage grant applications and reports to support our organization’s efforts.
  • Plan and coordinate fundraising events and other events with our external partners.
  • Build and maintain a wide base of contacts and supporters.
  • Ensure the renewal of existing donations.

Because we are a start-up organisation, every staff member in our organisation is expected to pitch in as needed outside of his/her department as well.  This would include, for example: supporting our recruitment efforts, meeting with principals, and other strategies essential to the success of our mission.

 2. Requirements:
