Eligibility for the Scholarship:

  • Eligible Countries: The Scholarship is open to New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, and international students.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by the university
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible applicants must be:
    • enrolling in 500-level taught papers; OR
    • enrolling in 400-level taught papers as outlined in Appendix A.
    • Scholarships are awarded on academic merit, with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of A– required. Normally, GPA calculations will be based on the equivalent of the applicant’s last two years of full-time study
    • Past recipients may apply for subsequent Taught Postgraduate Scholarships if they continue to meet the eligibility criteria.
    • The Scholarship is open to New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, and international students.
    • International students must have completed at least 120 points at any New Zealand University.

Supporting Documents:

As part of the application, the applicants must submit all the following required documents:

  • Applications must be submitted prior to the commencement of the papers for which funding is being sought. maximum of 60 points can be applied for in each Scholarship round.
  • There are two processing deadlines:
    • Round 1: for study commencing S Semester or A Semester in the year following application (applications close 31 October).
    • Round 2: for study commencing B Semester or T Semester in the year of application (applications close 30 April).
  • Applications for C Semester or Y semester papers must be submitted in the round preceding enrolment (see 3.1)
  • Students enrolling in the Master of Business and Management (MBM) or Master of Professional Management (MPM) programmes may only apply for a maximum of 60 points per scholarship round. For any papers where the start and end date overlap both application rounds, the application should be submitted in the round preceding the relevant enrolment period.
