For students with demonstrated financial need, we strive to ensure that cost of attendance will not prevent anyone from anywhere in the world from participating in YYGS.

We help students get ready for the college application process by understanding tuition “sticker price,” expected family contribution (EFC), and how to apply for financial aid.

YYGS is proud to be one of the only pre-college programs in the world that provides need-based financial aid equally to both domestic and international students, which is offered as a tuition discount (up to 100% of tuition). Students with demonstrated financial need are encouraged to apply for YYGS need-based financial aid.

We consider demonstrated financial need separately from applicant eligibility. Therefore students are encouraged to provide us with as much information as possible when applying for aid. Please know that the information you provide will be kept confidential. 

Though we cannot meet all requests for financial aid, we strive to meet as many requests as we can. In 2022, of all admitted students who applied for financial aid, we met 99% of their requests in full, and YYGS distributed over $3 Million USD in need-based financial aid equally to domestic and international students.

The application for financial aid is included within the online YYGS application. If you have any questions related to the financial aid application, please contact us. Students applying for need-based financial aid MUST complete this portion of the YYGS application, as there are no later opportunities after admissions decisions are released to request financial aid.
