Young people from around the world are invited by the European Commission to play an active role in this year’s European Development Days (EDD 2018) by participating to the Young Leaders Programme. They are looking for 15 extraordinary young people who can represent the powerful impact that youth are having in the development field: youth are a driving force behind some of the most inspiring development projects.

About

The European Development Days (EDD) bring the development community together each year to share ideas and experiences in ways that inspire new partnerships and innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. The EDD 2018 will take place at Tour & Taxis on 5-6 June 2018 in Brussels, Belgium.

The selected Young Leaders participating in the programme will share their views and experiences in high-level debates alongside world leaders and other change-makers in the development field. Since 2015, the pool has grown with each year’s promotion and the Young Leaders for Development blog has become a go-to platform to exchange ideas, projects and initiatives.

The Young Leaders Programme will consist of a 10-day visit to Brussels, where Young Leaders will meet EU experts, stakeholders and play a leading role in the EDD Programme, which will include speaking in various session alongside global leaders.
