Quaker Voluntary Service – chương trình học bổng cho những ứng viên từ 21-30 tuổi có mong muốn tham gia các hoạt động cộng đồng, các dịch vụ xã hội, các cơ quan biến đổi xã hội, tham gia giao lưu, trao đổi văn hóa, kinh nghiệm từ những bạn bè đến từ khắp nơi trên thế giới.

Ứng viên trúng tuyển sẽ có cơ hội đến với một trong 8 thành phố của Mỹ: Atlanta, GA, Boston, MA, Philadelphia, PA, and Portland, OR. Và sẽ nhận được những quyền lợi đặc biệt như: hỗ trợ nhà ở, phương tiện di chuyển công cộng, nhu yếu phẩm thiết yếu, bảo hiểm sức khỏe, tư vấn khi cần thiết, tham gia các hội nghị huấn luyện chuyên đề, dành thời gian để xây dựng cộng đồng và đặc biệt nhận được giúp đỡ tận tình từ các tình nguyện viên khác cũng như đội ngũ tổ chức.

Are you or is someone you know passionate about justice and equality, and how that can be supported in intentional community? Quaker Voluntary Service is currently accepting applications for the 2017-18 Fellowship, now through March 10th for priority consideration.Quaker Voluntary Service is a year-long fellowship in which young adults, between the ages of 21-30, live communally, work full time at social service and social change agencies, and explore themes of spiritual and personal growth with local Quakers.

An ideal QVS Fellow brings an openness to working with diverse community members, a willingness to explore questions of spirituality, and an ability to function well in a professional setting. QVS Fellows should be prepared to ask challenging questions of themselves and each other about how to live simply, with integrity and justice while doing meaningful and mutually empowering service with marginalized populations. QVS partner sites cover a wide range of social and environmental issues including, but not limited to, housing and homelessness, immigration, environmental sustainability, economic justice, education, human rights issues, mental and physical disability, youth justice, and racial inequality.

Fellowships are available in Atlanta, GA, Boston, MA, Philadelphia, PA, and Portland, OR. Fellows receive housing and utilities, a public transit pass, grocery allowance, support securing health insurance and mental health resources as needed, student loan counseling and assistance, a simple living and exit stipend, access to conferences and trainings, dedicated time for reflection and community building, as well as robust support from staff and volunteers.

The program year runs from September 3rd, 2017 - July 25th, 2018.
