JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Accept and register bookings for DHL services.
  • Offer alternatives to customers and seize upselling and cross-selling opportunities of value-added services (e.g., Sales Leads, shipment insurance) during interaction with the customer.
  • Respond to customers consistently and confidently by providing accurate information in all areas, such as customs requirements, transit time, and prices.
  • Enhance service experience in DHL by exercising professionalism and empathy when dealing with each customer’s varying needs and demands.
  • Liaise with Operations and other departments to quickly and efficiently resolve customer issues and queries.
  • Highlight areas for improvement with suggested solutions to improve DHL’s procedures, technology, and service to enhance customers’ experience with DHL.
  • Adhere to global CS procedures while maintaining discretion to exercise flexibility to customers’ needs within reasonable limits in consultation with CS supervisors and managers.
  • Assist the supervisors (if applicable) in carrying out relevant CS orientation/training programs for new or existing CS staff.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 2 years of experience in a Customer Contact Centre or Telesales environment in a service industry (preferable)
  • Diploma in Business (preferable) or equivalent
  • Fluent in English

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Act as Tele Sales customers’ main contact for DHL, responding to and satisfying their sales and post-sales requirements. 
  • Build a strong client relationship to ensure that the account performs and grows to its maximum potential, reducing attrition rate and minimizing opportunities for competitors to gain business.
  • Manage a portfolio of customers via telephone: Make telephone calls to existing customers on a regular pre-defined call cycle to secure new business and to ensure that individual agreed targets are achieved.
  • Provide customer-oriented service at all times relating to specific sales issues.
  • Liaise closely with Sales Channels and other departments within DHL to ensure that a full, cost-effective service is maintained, and that the area's target is achieved.
  • Ensure cooperation with other sales team members and throughout the sales force.
  • Formulate a personal sales plan that incorporates initiatives for identifying and gaining new business prospects and maximizes growth within the existing client base to achieve the required personal sales results.
  • Manage the revenue growth through Upselling and Cross selling tactics to exceed this budget through calls
  • Combine sales skills with DHL product/service knowledge and convert the maximum possible prospect leads into accounts, emphasizing those with maximum revenue potential, to increase the size and quality of DHL’s account holders.
  • Continually develop knowledge of DHL’s services and general commercial awareness to provide the best possible standard of customer service and maximize the department’s contribution to the sales function.
  • Adhere to regional standards on profit margins and discount guidelines.
  • Open new accounts and ensure they trade profitably.
  • Ensure all customer agreements are cost-sensitive to ensure a suggested minimum pricing tariff is set and adhered. Any deviation from this tariff requires management agreement and justification.
  • Complete daily and weekly reports to measure individual and department effectiveness and provide figures showing the department's weekly productivity.
  • The incumbent has no direct reports and authority over the country line and functional personnel. Nevertheless, he/she must demonstrate the ability to influence decisions/actions.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in Logistics
  • Telephone skills
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
