1. Channel Specialist

Function: Sales & Marketing


  • Responsible for building and deploying channel management process to ensure a strong pool of loyal channel partners including:

    • New channel partner development process;

    • Business review process with channel partners;

    • Channel engagement activities;

    • Channel partners’ capability building activities;

    • Distributors performance review process;

  • Channel insights:

    • Gathering data and building business analysis reports of channel insights;

    • Providing the channel insights to business team and relevant stakeholders for further improvement of business performance;

  • Responsible for building a strong ecommerce channel driving online sales contribution of 10% (vs. 3M total sales) by 2020:

    • Engaging with business team to develop right product portfolios for online retailers;

    • Building and managing a strong e-channel including distributors, retailers and loyal online shoppers;

    • Building KA plan for each key e-retailers to drive traffic and demand for 3M products helping 3M and channel partners achieving business objectives;

    • Ensure flawless execution of sales and promotion programs to maximize business objectives and enhancing 3M’s visibility in e-retailers’ selling platforms.

Qualification & Requirements:

  • Must be very strong in channel management with experience in building and managing successfully distributors and channel partners to achieve given targets;

  • Good knowledge and experience in ecommerce;

  • Thick experience in building and deploying sales activities and promotional programs;

  • Excellent negotiation skills;

  • Excellent presentation skills;

  • Time & project management skills.



2. Marketing Specialist

Function: Marketing


  • Market Analysis: Regular market visits to obtain market intelligence by understanding:

    • Overall market: market size, market share;

    • Customers’ products/ processes;

    • Competitors’ pricing and activities;

    • Voice of Customer and Voice of the Market;

  • Marketing Plan:

    • Develop a marketing plan with supervision from immediate supervisor;

    • Marketing program development, implementation and execution;

    • Integration of product Plan to key market plans;

    • Create new business opportunities;

  • Product:

    • Product knowledge;

    • New Product Introduction;

    • Indentifying outsourcing opportunities;

    • Product packaging, LCM;

  • Price: Understand Pricing Structure & Accountable for Price Page, including:

    • New price setting proposal, taking into account Tool Value Map;

    • Regular price review to meet P&L pricing plan and propose for annual price increase (if any);

  • Place:

    • Set up new channel car dealers, e-commerce for localized products;

    • Develop Channel strategy for existing channels;

  • Promotion: Propose, execute and monitor marketing initiatives to support sales targets and build brand in the market. Activities included but not limited to:

    • Seminars/ Workshops/ Exhibitions;

    • Advertising, direct marketing, PR, and sales promotions and trade programmes;

  • Marketing Operations:

    • Rigorously manage and control A&P as per proposed plan;

    • Inventory/ sample forecast and management;

    • Monthly sales forecasting and reporting.

Qualification & Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing or similar;

  • At least 3 years’ experience in B2B marketing, working in relevant market segments is an advantage;

  • Familiar with marketing concepts and all phases of the marketing planning process;

  • Ability to work independently as well as in cooperation with sales and technical service colleagues;

  • Confident in business communication and presentation in English;

  • Willingness to work on field approx. 50% of the time.
