Citi set its first footprint into Vietnam before 1975 and then started up a representative office in Hanoi in 1993. A year later, Citi became the first U.S financial institution licensed for branch opening and full branch establishment in Hanoi. In 1998, Citi opened the second branch in Ho Chi Minh City. Currently, the bank offers a wide array of banking and financial services including corporate and investment banking, treasury and trade solution services, commercial banking, consumer banking, securities and transaction services.

Job Function: Training, Development & Learning

Description:

  • Learning Responsibility for the Vietnam GCB Business:
    • Responsible for end to end training delivery for Vietnam consumer business across functional, leadership and professional development curriculum;
    • Responsible for the effective implementation of the core training curriculum in country for all GCB roles, to the highest standard;
    • Provide ongoing feedback to the Regional Learning team in terms of core curriculum content and its suitability to the local business/ context;
    • Provide ongoing input to a) course improvements; b) new course needs; c) new course content development;
    • In partnership with local business seniors, evaluate the effectiveness of the desired learning outcomes and provide feedback to the Regional Learning team;
    • Where the core training curriculum does not meet all local needs (e.g. due to local regulatory/ legal requirements, or country specific products), developing the appropriate country specific training solutions to augment the core curriculum;
    • Consult business on specific business focus areas and challenges and lead development & deployment of L&D solutions to address these;
  • Operations Management:
    • Ensure the timely pre and post evaluation of the Learners experiences. Responsible for the management and reporting of local analytics;
    • Analyze and evaluate the performance of learners and the impact of this on the curriculum;
  • Relationship Management:
    • Work in close partnership with local Country Business Manager (Consumer) and GCB Business seniors in terms of Learner outcomes, and curriculum content;
    • Ensure a very close connection and partnership is maintained with the local Country Learning function;
    • Be an active member of the local Learning Network;
    • Work in close partnership with the regional Learning team;
    • Provide proactive input to the curriculum content;
    • Ensure all feedback and suggestions from our key clients are fed-back to the Regional Learning team;
    • Network with other Country Business Trainers for success sharing.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree;
  • Thorough understanding of the Retail Banking business and other primary GCB product areas relevant to country;
  • Proven experience as a trainer and competence with adult learning principles;
  • Experienced in the evaluation of L&D initiatives;
  • Outstanding Relationship skills–so as to enable the development of productive and trusted relationships with GCB business leaders, in addition to colleagues within HR and Learning regionally and within country;
  • Collaborative team player;
  • Ability to positively influence others;
  • Strong communication and questioning skills;
  • Accountability and execution–consistently operating at high standards of quality and accuracy within required time frames;
  • Ability to lead change;
  • Able to follow instructions, whilst also comfortable working with ambiguity;
  • Self-starter – positive, energetic and able to prioritize and act upon the important issues whilst keeping communication channels open to relevant stakeholders;
  • Highly organized and able to deliver against firm timelines;
