We now have an opening for: Part-time IELTS Academic Officer

Main Duties:

●     During Class Time:

1.    Assisting with Classroom Activities:

-       Ensure all students are actively engaged in group activities.

-       Offer immediate assistance to those struggling with tasks or concepts.

-       Summarize key points from the lesson to share with students later

2.    Monitoring Student Engagement:

-       Keep an eye on students’ participation levels and note those who seem disengaged or confused.

-       Spot students who might need extra help and communicate this to the main instructor.

●     Outside of Class Time:

1. Providing Academic Support:

-       Offer personalized tutoring sessions focusing on areas where individual students need improvement.

-       Help students understand and complete homework assignments, reinforcing concepts covered in class.

-       Deliver Academic Sessions for students

2. Conducting Review Sessions: Hold regular review sessions that go over important material
3. Emotional and Motivational Support:

-       Offer strategies and exercises to help students manage stress and anxiety related to the IELTS exam.

-       Engage in conversations that build students' confidence, focusing on their progress rather than just their challenges.

4. Communication and Follow-Up:

-       Communicate regularly with the main instructors to discuss student progress and coordinate support efforts.

-       If applicable, update parents or guardians on student progress and how they can support learning at home.

5. Resource Development and Sharing:

-       Recommend external resources like websites, apps, or books that can help students with self-study.

-       Collaborate with Marketing team to hold internal activities for students and create academic content for social post

Requirements:

-       Bachelor's degree in English or Education

-       IELTS score of at least 6.0

-       Experience working in education is an advantage

-       Growth mindset

-       Being able to work on weekdays evening & weekends (~20h/week)

Skills:

-       Strong English language skills with excellent pronunciation and grammar

-       Knowledge of IELTS exam format and requirements

-       Effective communication and interpersonal skills

-       Organizational and time management abilities
