Arts Class Assistant duties:
1. Arrange the furniture, equipment and materials in the studios and classrooms and organize desks at the beginning and end of the day, setting up teaching spaces as appropriate for practical lessons.
2. Check the supply of paper towels, cleaning cloths and general facilities at the sink areas and in all classrooms and keeping these areas clean and tidy with a general check of these areas each day.
3. Ensuring adequate level of materials and equipment are available and well organized in the classroom; Collect and set out resources, tools and materials for lessons, e.g. pouring out batches of ink or paint, distributing brushes, paper etc. before the lesson.
4. Work with relevant teams to maintain equipment and facilities in the Creative Arts rooms, ensuring health and safety standards are met, all classrooms and learning spaces are organized, and kept clean and tidy.
5. Assist Creative Arts Faculty staff by preparing materials and media in advance, e.g. wedging clay, preparing slabs, mixing colors, cutting up fabric or melting wax to set examples.
6. Work with resource staff to order and replenish supplies of stationary, materials and equipment.
7. Help with the cleaning up of the classrooms, clearing away of any equipment used and the storage of student work.
8. Supervise students with equipment and machinery; Assisting students with practical work both in and out of lesson time, where appropriate.
9. Checking the jobs list each morning to prioritize daily tasks.
10. Assisting with preparation and staging of exhibitions and other events as required.
11. Regularly review and proactive to update all assigned duties.
12. Completing additional tasks as requested by the Head of Creative Arts, when and where required.
Administrative duties:
1. Prepare and present Creative Arts displays.
2. Support class teachers in photocopying, material developing and other tasks in order to support teaching.
3. Undertake other duties from time to time as the Head Teacher requires (school / bus / club / summer duties etc.,).
4. Assist in organizing Parents’ Meetings e.g. arranging appointments, translating and interpreting at meetings.
5. Ensure there are sufficient resources and equipment in the classroom daily for the activities.

Qualifications/Training:
• University graduate, a background of Art and Design is an advantage.
Experience/ Knowledge/ Skills:
