About the Tourism Advisory Board
The Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) is an independent board and public-private partnership, represented by top stakeholders in Vietnam’s tourism industry. TAB is working closely with Vietnam’s National Administration of Tourism to support its digital marketing efforts, push forward key public policies surrounding tourism, and assist in the execution of Vietnam’s overall tourism strategy. TAB’s marketing working group is currently tasked with the management of the national tourism website and its official social media accounts, as well as the organization of annual travel trade shows. Employees of TAB will directly contribute to the growth of Vietnam’s tourism industry through creative e-marketing initiatives and digital campaigns.

Graphic Designer

Purpose of the position Graphic Designer

Help shape the future of tourism in Vietnam by creating outstanding designs for the country’s official tourism website and social media platforms. Vietnam’s Tourism Advisory Board is looking for a part-time graphic designer to collaborate with our team in Hanoi. The ideal candidate will have 10 to 15 hours per month to devote to our projects, a professional portfolio of work, and countless creative ideas for telling Vietnam’s story visually.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, design, and execute creative concepts for digital ads, social media images, carousels, slideshows, videos and animations; as well as printed marketing materials (posters, banners, brochures.)

Work in collaboration with marketing team to create marketing campaigns and collateral promoting Vietnam Tourism brand, website, and social media within brand guidelines.

Design new webpages and update the design of existing pages.

Provide design support to the product and IT teams as well as other departments as needed.

Up to date with current trends in design and user experience.

SKILLS

Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts, or related discipline.

Minimum of 3 years working as a design professional

Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

Working knowledge of online user behaviour and reader behaviour a plus

Experience designing for travel, hospitality, or lifestyle brands

Professional, proactive and creative; able to communicate and collaborate well, organized, detail-oriented, and reliable

Fluency in English

Marketing Manager

Purpose of the position Marketing Manager

Use your marketing expertise and passion for Vietnam to shape the country’s image and drive tourism. Vietnam’s Tourism Advisory Board is looking for an experienced marketing manager to take the lead of its marketing strategy and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong online marketing and media background, exceptional business and client relations skills, and a proven track record of executing comprehensive digital marketing campaigns.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive digital marketing campaign to achieve TAB KPIs and objectives

Plan and develop promotional and communications strategies via internet, GDS, media, placement of advertising as directed, printed materials and other tools, together with the TAB Marketing Director

Participate in preparation and planning of the Annual Operations Plan, manage and report budget and expenses monthly

Ensure a close working relationship and communication between TAB and VNAT along with relevant governmental bodies

Manage close relationships with TAB partners; deliver enthusiastic, positive, helpful and respectful communication

Direct TAB advertising to maximize exposure, increase followers and drive traffic

Manage and execute trade shows and events

Work with the TAB Marketing Group to set online growth and performance targets, KPI and budget for digital marketing activities

Direct TAB’s PR strategy to generate media from local and international publications

REQUIREMENTS

5+ years’ management position in online marketing and media, including experience managing an integrated communications plan

Strong knowledge of digital marketing including paid advertising, website optimization, and general SEO

Understanding of market segmentation analysis to determine communication strategies

Demonstrated knowledge in directing media buying strategy and purchase, implementation of creative guidelines, and collateral production

Experience at identifying and delivering sponsorships with positive ROI

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation

Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, or Communications

Social Media Executive

Purpose of the position Social Media Executive

Help shape the future of tourism in Vietnam by building an outstanding social media presence on the country’s official social media platforms. Vietnam’s Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) is looking for a superstar Social Media Executive to build community and be the voice of Vietnam travel

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and implement a rolling social media strategy that builds awareness for Vietnam’s tourism product, reaches new audiences, fosters loyalty, and supports the TAB objectives.  

Manage and execute all social media initiatives, monitor the internet for share-worthy content on travel in Vietnam, and create content for the promotion of Vietnam’s tourism assets.

Work closely with the TAB marketing team, report on monthly progress, track the success of campaigns, optimise content, and promote TAB partners via social media.

Actively engage with the online community, respond to comments and questions, and maintain a high level of involvement and activity on behalf of Vietnam Tourism.

REQUIREMENTS

In-depth knowledge and in-depth understanding of the social media landscape and technical side of social media platforms, especially Facebook, YouTube and Instagram

2+ years’ experience working in a social media role (ideally in the travel industry) with experience developing content calendars, managing channels and running social media marketing

Strong writing and content creation skills, eye for images and design, knowledge of what makes engaging content

Professional, proactive and creative; able to communicate and collaborate well, organized, detail-oriented, and reliable

Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Marketing or related discipline

English fluency, with firsthand knowledge of Vietnam

Content Writer

Purpose of the position Content Writer

Use your writing skills and passion for travel to draft high quality stories and articles that inspire and inform travelers to Vietnam. The Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) is looking for an outstanding content writer to help tell Vietnam’s story to the world via the official tourism website, www.vietnamtourism.vn. The ideal candidate must have a professional portfolio showing solid content and creative writing chops.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate closely with TAB’s Managing Editor to create, commission and implement an editorial calendar with inspirational and informational pieces for vietnamtourism.vn

Draft online marketing copy including event listings, partner listings, press releases, newsletter copy, social media posts and ads

Optimise online content and images for Google Search

Work with the marketing team on campaigns, web developments, and strategy to meet TAB objectives

Support local tourism bodies in content ideation and creation

REQUIREMENTS

4+ years’ experience in writing and editing (ideally for the travel industry), working knowledge of AP Style, grammatical principles, and practical background in Journalism and/or Copywriting

Solid portfolio of writing work, demonstrating a clear understanding of what makes engaging content, especially for online audiences

Strong research skills, ability to find and source reliable information, conduct successful interviews, and condense content into easily understandable stories and guides

Knowledge of web and mobile technologies including mastery of Wordpress and on-page SEO (video and photo editing a plus)

Professional, proactive and creative; able to communicate and collaborate well, organized, detail-oriented, and reliable

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or related field

English fluency at native-speaker level
