The United Nations Global Compact is a non-binding United Nations pact to encourage businesses worldwide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies, and to report on their implementation. The UN Global Compact is a principle-based framework for businesses, stating ten principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption. Under the Global Compact, companies are brought together with UN agencies, labor groups and civil society. Cities can join the Global Compact through the Cities Programme.
Deadline: August 16, 2019
Applications are invited for the UN Global Compact Internship Programme – Fall 2019. The UN Global Compact offers internship opportunities in its New York office.
The UN Global Compact pursues two complementary objectives: making the UN Global Compact and its principles part of business strategy and operations everywhere; and facilitating cooperation among key stakeholders by promoting partnerships and other collective action in support of UN goals.
Internships with the UN Global Compact are available for a duration of three to six months. The timing of internships is flexible. Candidates are encouraged to apply for the following sessions:
Winter: January to March (3 months, with possibility of a 3-month extension thereafter)
