The Online Volunteer will translate from English to Vietnamese 5 online learning modules developed by Youth Co:Lab for young social entrepreneurs. The translation should be youth-friendly and localized in order to reach and engage with more remote communities. The set of documents is hosted online on Google Drive and is a mix of Google Docs and Google Slides documents. We will be available to answer any question and provide the necessary support. The Online Volunteer will translate approximately 5000 English words.

Requirements

Vietnamese as a mother tongue and fluency in English is mandatory. Professional experience with translation and/or translation studies are highly appreciated. Interest in social entrepreneurship is a plus.

Background & Objectives

Youth Co:Lab positions young people front and center in order to solve the region’s most pressing challenges. Co-created in 2017 by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Citi Foundation, Youth Co:Lab aims to establish a common agenda for countries in the Asia-Pacific region to empower and invest in youth, so that they can accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through leadership, social innovation and entrepreneurship. Youth Co:Lab has been implemented in 25 countries and territories across Asia Pacific.

Keep this in mind:

Most organizations find the volunteers they need within just a few days and close the opportunities to more applications. So if you see a project that interests you, apply right away and make sure that you show the organization that you have the right skills and motivation for the task!

Online volunteering is rewarding and empowering, but it’s also a serious commitment. When you are chosen for an assignment, the organization is counting on you to complete it.

Our online volunteer community is made up of bright, dynamic, committed individuals who enjoy bringing out the best in each other and in the organizations they serve. We expect all volunteers to maintain high standards of behaviour, and to refrain from any activity that could be detrimental to the assignment, the organization, other volunteers, or to UNV. By registering you accept that you do not make any financial claims to organizations or to UNV. See the Terms of Use for more about standards of conduct and the conditions for using this platform.
